Brianna is the newest addition to our dental team. She has started an apprenticeship in Dental Assisting and is studying a Certificate III in Dental Assisting through TAFE. Brianna is very friendly and an excellent addition to the team at Jamestown Dental.
Sionell is a valued team member at Jamestown Dental, having joined us after completing her Year 12 studies in 2014. She undertook a traineeship and has completed a Certificate III in Dental Assisting at TAFE.
Sionell is actively involved many sports around Jamestown, playing basketball and netball. She also enjoys spending time with her dog Ollie.
Jane has extensive experience in dentistry and has been at Jamestown Dental since the beginning of its inception in 1981. Jane is an integral part of our team as she combines an exceptional balance between skills and knowledge. She has a calm, genuine and friendly personality that helps each and every patient feel at ease when they enter our surgery.
Outside of dentistry, Jane busy in the wider Jamestown community including volunteering for meals-on-wheels.
Phillippa is an experienced dental nurse, having started her career working in Adelaide at a specialist endodontics practice in 2001 and gaining her Certificate III in Dental Assisting. Having been born and raised in the Mid North, Phillippa returned to her home town in 2002 when an opportunity arose to join the team at Jamestown Dental.
Phillippa has three lovely children and helps her husband run his concreting business.
Steve has been providing his specialist orthodontic services to Jamestown, Peterborough and the surrounding Mid-North areas for over 32 years.
Steve graduated from Adelaide University in 1971 and worked as a dentist in private practice until returning to study orthodontics in 1979. Upon completion of his post-graduate sutdies he dedicated his time to treating patients at the Adelaide Dental Hospital before establishing his own orthodontic clinic on North Terrace in 1983. It was also during this period that Steve started his regular visits to Jamestown.
Steve he has maintained his close ties with the University of Adelaide, having served as a mentor and examiner for post-graduate orthodontic students. He has also been involved with numerous professional committees, most notably serving as the President for the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO) for the past two years.
Please note that Steve accepts and welcomes direct patient bookings with him for an initial consultation appointment although it is highly recommended that patients undergo a general examination by the dentist prior to commencing orthodontic treatment.
Edwina joined Jamestown Dental in early 2016. Edwina graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Oral Health. She has recently completed her B. DentSci Honours degree with a research project in maternal and child oral health in coordination with ARCPOH’s SMILE Study. She is now continuing her professional education studying a Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science at the University of Adelaide to extend her scope of practice to include adult restorative treatment.
As an Oral Health Therapist, Edwina is experienced in the treatment and management of children as well dental hygiene treatment. Edwina’s approach as a clinician is gentle, holistic and caring, tailoring treatment and preventive oral health education to patient’s specific concerns. She believes it is important for patients to understand how oral health can affect general health and loves to have a chat to help improve patients’ confidence around their own oral health behaviours. Edwina is primary interest includes mothers and all children including those who may be anxious, may have never visited the dental or have special needs.
Edwina is a past President of the Australian Dental and Oral Heath Therapists Association SA/NT (ADOHTA).
Jason graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. During his dental studies he was able to work across various locations including Noarlunga and Mt Gambier which sparked an interest in working in a regional area. He also has volunteered his dental services through the Dental Outreach program, working overseas in Nepal and Mexico.
Jason is a valuable member of the Jamestown Dental team and is happy to help out with all your dental needs. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association.
Outside of dentistry, Jason enjoys keeping active, going to the gym with his brother, playing football and running.
Liz graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She then started her career in private practice in Adelaide, gaining experience across all facets of general dentistry. Liz has also been involved with tutoring dental students at the University of Adelaide in clinic and laboratory sessions. After gaining extensive experience in private practice in Adelaide, Liz moved to Jamestown with her husband in 2014 and began working at Jamestown Dental.
Liz enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has particular interests in preventive dentistry as well as restorative dentistry. Liz is a member of both the Federal and South Australian Dental Associations (ADA and ADASA) and is committed to continuing to improve her skills and knowledge through continuing professional education.
Outside of dentistry, Liz enjoys playing netball and tennis and enjoys spending time with her family including her young son, Oliver.
